About Shea
Arizona became home in the summer of 1957. During subsequent years, my foundation in the arts and education formed the solid base for my community action. I learned the value of creative thought and the responsibility of sharing with others. Yes, my formal education in Arizona's public schools and Arizona State University offered entrance to my career and activism. Yet, the creative spaces of art studios, theater, and natural environment fueled my passion. I came to realize creativity is the power that binds the community and defines culture. Writing the stories of artists and their work is a celebration of the creative spirit. My inspiration is in the collective imagination of the intuitive process. The act of documenting artistic expression is a way of celebrating the artists who bring their vision to us.
